Joe: I am very glad my family was there at the moment or I would have attacked Alice. *Looks at Demi’s nose* And what do you know, its bleeding!

Demi: Ugh! I don’t need to go to the hospital just because my nose is broken. All they do is put like a band-aid over my nose and say not to really touch it and replace it every few days for 2 weeks or such. Its not like I’ve not broken my nose before.

Joe: We aren’t going to the hospital.

Demi: Then where?

We got into the car.

Joe: I need to get away from Alice for one. Second, its blood testing day.

Demi: Ah…so im guessing the rest of you’re family is skipping too?

Joe: Yeah.

Demi: Wait a second, why am I skipping?

Joe: The Alice girl might take advantage of the time im not there. Might decide to hurt you more. You’re dad is already going to blame me for breaking you’re nose. He’s going to most likely say, “Why couldn’t you have stepped in front of

Demi? You could have taken the punch!”

Demi: It’s like you know my dad to well. And by the way, why couldn’t you have read her mind and all and be able to tell she was about to punch me?

Joe: Well, I wasn’t paying attention to her.

Demi: Well, aren’t you able to read my mind?

Joe: What makes me very aggravated; I can’t read you’re mind. You’re a danger magnet. If I could read you’re mind I could know where you were and I could know if you were in danger.

Demi: This is confusing.

Joe: Well you know all you need to know. And by the way, were going to you’re house.

Demi: What if my dads home?

Joe: I can tell by his thoughts that he’s at work right now. Something about a robbery on Maple street.

Demi: Okay, but why my house?

Joe: You need to get cleaned up from the bloody nose. Blood is all over you’re clothes.

Demi: Yeah, guess so.

At the house.

We walked inside and I put my book bag and stuff on the couch. He sat in my room while I took a shower and changed. I dried my hair and then walked back into my room. He hadn’t moved an inch. I went and laid down on my bed. Within seconds he was lying down next to me.

Joe: So, what are we going to do with our 2 hours until you’re dad gets home?

Demi: *I turned on my side to face him* I don’t know.

Joe: Watch a movie?

Demi: My dad only has cop movies and I didn’t bring any when I moved.

Joe: *Kisses her* Hmm…you look tired. Why don’t you get some sleep?

Demi: I guess so.

I quickly fell asleep. My dream was about Joe. The whole dream, I was staring at Joe. That was all I dreamed about.

About 2 hours later I woke up to find myself on top of Joe, my head on his chest. I got off him with a confused expression. He laughed.

Joe: You sure do move a lot in you’re sleep. You would go from one side of me to the other and not wake up.

Demi: Oops…

Joe: *Laughs* It’s fine. Well, I better get going now. You’re dads home.

Demi: How about a few minutes after he walks in you knock on the door and I you can hang out over here for a while?

Joe: *Hops out the window* Sure, see you in a few.

Carl came in the door.

Carl: How are you home already? School ended five minutes ago and its at least 10 miles away.

Demi: Some girl broke my nose today and Joe had to leave early. He thought that the girl might take advantage of Joe being gone and hurt me even more.

Carl: He did the right thing to take you home. But why couldn’t he have stepped in front of you Demi? He could have taken the punch!

Huh, that is pretty much exactly what Joe said he would say.

Demi: He didn’t know she was going to punch me!

Carl: If he ever brings you home without being in perfect condition I am going to kill him!

Demi: *Groans* Dad!

The doorbell rang. I was the first to get to the door to answer it. Joe stepped inside.

Carl: *Arms crossed* Hello, Joseph.

Joe: Hi, Mr. Lovato.

Carl: I see th-

Demi: Dad! Don’t!

Carl: Im just going to say that he better not let you get hurt anymore!

Demi: Dad, I’ve been a danger magnet ever since I was born! Its not his fault!

Joe: I better get going. Bye Demi. *Walks out the door*

Demi: Thanks a lot Carl!

Carl: You’re welcome Demi!

I walked upstairs with anger. When I went into my room I almost screamed cause Joe was on my bed.

Demi: What are you doing here?!

Joe: Aw, I couldn’t leave you. I love you to much. *Pats the spot beside him* Come on, I wont bite…well, I don’t think I will. *Smiles*

Demi: *Laughs and goes and lays down next to him*

Joe: *Kisses her*

Demi: *Deepens it*

Joe: *Frowns and pulls away* Ah, Demi…

Demi: *Sighs* Sorry.

Joe: *Feels bad cause he knows she didn’t mean to do anything wrong and starts to kiss her with all of his passion*

Demi: *Pulls away after a second knowing he was probably in pain*

Joe: *Scoots closer to her and starts kissing her with passion again*

Demi: *Minutes pass and she ends up on top of him*

Joe: *Lightly pushes her off and pulls away* I shouldn’t have let it get that far…

Demi: Its my fault.

Joe: No its not. You’re probably used to kissing other guys and them not having to pull away like that.

Demi: I’ve never kissed anyone but you.

Joe: No way.

Demi: I’ve always been the nerd.

Joe: You’re kidding right?

Demi: Nope.

Joe: In my world, you’re the princess.

Demi: Yeah, in you’re world.

Joe: No way in only my world!

Demi: Um, yeah only in yours!

Joe: No way! On the first day of school you should have seen how jealous I was! Everybody was thinking about asking you out and stuff! It made me so angry!

Demi: You’re just saying that.

Joe: I swear on my immortal soul!

Demi: *Laughs* Fine, I believe you.

The next day at school

(a/n: if you’ve looked at my decode series this may be familiar but I thought it may be good for this story)

I was walking in the hallway when some punk pinned me to the wall. (Name: Zac)

Demi: Get away from me!

Zac: You better be still. This will be over before you know it. *Forces her mouth open and sticks his tongue in her mouth.*

Demi: *Pushing and kicking but its no use*

Zac: *Pushes her back even more forcing her to kiss him*

Demi: *Gagging*

Zac: Come on babe. You know you want me. *Sticks his tongue back in her mouth*

Demi: *Manages to pull away from him for a second* No, I don’t want you!

Zac: Oh, yes you do. *Pushes his body against her as much as he can with her body being squeezed between Zac and the wall* And if you don’t, theres more to come of this. *Forces her mouth back open and forces her to put her tounge around his* Enjoying this yet?

Demi: Not at all.

Zac: *Starts to really deepen*

God was this guy making me mad…wait, is that Joe? Ut oh.

Joe: *Pushes Zac to the ground*

The entire Jonas family was watching in shock. They were making sure that he didn’t do anything that might give away there identity. I slid down the wall watching there fight.

Zac: *Stands back up* Is there a problem?

Joe: Yes, and it’s you. If you don’t stop harming my Demi, than you will be in huge amounts of pain.

I liked how he said my Demi, but not how he said he’ll be in huge amounts of pain. I knew what that meant.

Demi: Joe, he’s not worth it! Don’t do what you’re thinking about doing!

Zac: *Punches Demi* You stay out of this!

Joe: *His lips reveal his teeth* You better run kid!

Zac: Why don’t you make me!

Joe: *Crouches down into hunting position* I’m giving you one last chance to get out of here before I kill you!

Nick and Kevin ran to Joe’s side.

Nick: Don’t do it.

Kevin: -Whispers- You’ll scare Demi.

Joe: *Slowly stands up and takes a deep breath* Run, or I will kill you.

Zac: Yeah, like you have the weapon to kill me. *Takes out a sharp pocket knife*

Joe: Trust me, you have no idea. *Looks at the pocket knife* That will do no harm to me.

Zac: *Looks at Demi* Oh really? –Still talking to Joe- But it may do some harm to Demi. *Stabs Demi in the arm*

Demi: *Yelps in pain and her arm starts to bleed*

Nick: *Runs before he gets the scent in his system*

All the vamps stood still, trying not to do anything stupid. It looked to me as if only Joe and Miley could stand the scent. Soon enough Kevin was gone shouting at Zac with Emily at his side.

Both Joe and Miley rushed over to my side. Miley was trying not to smell or look at the blood while removing the knife from my arm. Joe was staring angrily at Zac.

Joe: Kid, you are lucky I have not harmed you in anyway. If you do not run away right now, you will be dead by the next hour. *His eyes were getting darker and angrier every second he was staring at Zac; knowing he couldn’t hold much longer*

Zac looked at him and started to understand he wasn’t kidding.

Joe: *Looking after Zac with anger* If only he didn’t react so quickly to his thought I could have stopped him.

Miley: *Using a soft voice* Its not you’re fault Joe. I should have seen this happen in the future.

Demi: Its neither of you’re faults. *Looks at Miley* you’re Miley, right?

Miley: *Smiles* Yes. *Looks at her arm and then at Joe* Do you think we should just take her to Robert?

Joe: *Calming down a bit* Yeah, Kristen will probably be fine around the scent of human blood since Robert comes home covered in it, *thinks* though it does bother Nick.

Miley: *Smiles* It bothers us all.

Demi: So im guessing Kristen and Robert are you’re parents then?

Joe: Yeah, and he can stitch up you’re arm.

Miley: Joe, I think I should take Demi home today. First of all, hes going to scope down whoever stabbed her and arrest him, and then he’s gonna ban you from dating her for not protecting her. *Smiles* And don’t worry, I will tell him you weren’t at school today so that he wont take Demi away from you.

Joe: Yeah…

The Jonas house…

Joe: {Tells Robert what had happened at school}

Robert: First, make sure you don’t kill the boy. Second, I’ll stitch up her arm. *Smiles and gets to work on her arm*

Demi: *Flinches every once in a while*

Kristen: Im very sorry what that boy did. First, force you to kiss him, then, stab you and Nick go ballistic. *Laughs softly* Nick can be crazy around human blood. *Sniffs* And don’t feel uncomfortable of my saying this, but you’re scent is more magnificent then most others.

Demi: *Looks at Joe and laughs* I’ve heard that one before.

Robert: *Stands up and puts his stuff away* Well, you should be good. Just try not to get the stitches to wet. You can come back and see me and I’ll take them out in about 3 weeks.

Demi: Okay.

Miley: School is ending now so I should drive you home. *Grabs her hand and they run out the door*

They arrive at home…

Carl: *Sees Demi and goes outside* Hey Dems! *Spots her arm* WHO DID THIS TO YOU?!

Demi: A boy named Zac at school…

Carl: Ugh! If that Joe boy could have stopped this wouldn’t have-

Miley: *Jumps in front if him and smiles sweetly* Hi Mr. Lovato. Well, you see, Joe was sick today. Well, were all adopted and all and some of the kids got sick today. *Frowns* Joe was one of them. Nick, my boyfriend might I say, tried to help along with Kevin but they were to late. *Takes his hand and shakes it* And by the way, im Miley!

Carl: *Smiles* Nice to meet you Miley. -To Demi- So what’s this guy who hurt you named again?

Demi: Zac CULLEN.

Carl: Well, this Cullen fellow is going to be arrested. -To Miley- And again, very nice to meet you. *Walks off to his police car*

Miley: Joe should be here in 3, 2, and 1.

Joe appeared next to me.

Joe: Wow, he doesn’t want to kill me.

Demi: *Laughs* Yes, that is a wow.

Joe: *Puts his arm around her and kisses her cheek* So Miley, what do you see happening to Zac?

Miley: *Pauses for seconds* He’s going to run away and then get caught in Mexico.

Demi: *Laughs* Mexico?

Miley: *Laughs* Yeah, next month. Thing is, he wouldn’t have been but put in jail for a week if he didn’t run. Now its looking like a couple of years.

Joe: I would want it to be eternity.

Demi: *Frowns*

Joe: What?

Demi: You’re going to be 17 forever aren’t you?

Joe: Yes…

Demi: Ugh!

Joe: What?!

Demi: Im not going to be 17 forever!

Joe: Yeah…

Demi: This sucks! I mean, I don’t like anyone but you. Never have, probably never will!

Joe: Its life’s cycle. You get older. *Looks at Demi* I will never love anybody else but you for my next trillion years. And for you, you can love me as long as you want. But when you find someone else you love and go to them, I’ll be more than happy for you.

Demi: *Looks at him with anger* I would never stop loving you, no matter the price I may have to pay.

Joe: You’re willing to give up you’re life to stay with me literally forever?

Demi: Yes.

Joe: First of all, you have to be bitten by a vampire, and go through pain for about 3 days. And trust me, PAIN. Second, you won’t be able to be around you’re friends nor family. Are you willing to go through both physical and emotional pain?

Demi: Uh…yes.

Joe: Then you’ll be able to wait.

Demi: Ugh! *Puppy dog eyes*

Joe: You’ll need to wait till you’re out of college.

Demi: But that’ll be 2 years!

Joe: Yes, you’ll be 19.

Demi: That’s older than you though!

Miley: Uh hum, im still here you know.

Demi: *Smiles shyly* Sorry Miley.

Miley: And by the way, I agree with Joe. You need to be through with school first.

Demi: L *Frowns* Fine.

Joe: Well, we better get going. See ya tonight Demi.

They both ran off and I went inside.
